Judge Daniel Hathaway (retired), with 30 years as a civil and criminal trial lawyer and 10 years as a Wayne County Circuit Court judge, is uniquely qualified to facilitate the resolution of your case. Throughout his career, Judge Hathaway has seen every type of litigation dispute and has settled countless cases during his tenure on the bench.

The Wayne County Circuit Court is one of the busiest trial courts in the state and while serving on the bench Judge Hathaway handled a docket of between 700 and 1000 cases at any one time. As a consequence, a premium was always placed on effective resolution of cases. The skill set required to effectively resolve conflicts and settle cases was honed on the 3rd Circuit bench CivilDivision.

In addition to his work as a trial lawyer and Circuit Judge, Dan has held leadership positions in the legal community including serving as Chairman of the Lawyer’s and Judges Assistance Committee of the State Bar of Michigan and serving on the Board of Directors of the Wayne County Mediation Tribunal.
